The Delaware County Chamber of Commerce will recognize several businesses and groups for their service to the county’s business community at its 2023 Business Awards celebration on October 18 at Bluestone Restaurant in Delhi.
UHS Delaware Valley Hospital in Walton will be presented with the Business of the Year award, recognizing its enduring support of civic improvement projects, excellent fiscal stewardship, and expansion of services to meet changing healthcare needs of residents.
Decker Advertising of Delhi will share the Business of the Year honors. Since its founding in 1966, Decker Advertising, publishers of The Reporter, Catskill Country Magazine, and Community Directory, has been committed to keeping Delaware County residents informed and provide an effective avenue of local promotion for businesses.
The 2023 Community Connector Award will go to the Delaware County Industrial Development Agency for its efforts to deliver grant and low-interest funding to local businesses, support workforce development, and encourage new business growth.
Several new businesses will be recognized as the Chamber’s Rising Stars. Honorees include Meat & Flowers in Hamden, Molto Molto Community Cafe in Walton, Ravens View Genetics cannabis cultivation facility in Delhi, Strickland Hollow Farm Distillery and Tasting Room in Meridale and Delhi, Tiny Sandwich in Hamden, Totally Good Time clothing brand and retail store in Margaretville, Upstate Country Realty in Franklin, and YOLO Mercantile retail shop in Walton.
The 2023 Delaware County Business Awards celebration will be held on Wednesday, October 18, coinciding with National Chamber of Commerce Day, at Bluestone Restaurant at 85 Scotch Mountain Road in Delhi. Tickets for the dinner event are $50 per person. Reservations are required and may be made under the Events column at DelawareCounty.org.
