Area employers and entrepreneurs will have alternatives to traditional health insurance through a new program offered to members of the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce.
The healthcare plan meets all requirements for coverage mandated by state and federal legislation and includes preventive care coverage, prescription drug coverage, telemedicine (including behavioral health), and cost sharing for larger, unforeseen medical expenses. Chamber members are able to customize their healthcare, while providing a comprehensive solution and average savings of 60% over traditional plans.
Chamber president Ray Pucci noted that, as healthcare costs continue to rise, area business owners are seeking alternatives that offer excellent benefits for staff in a cost efficient way. “The most frequent questions I am asked are about health insurance. While this is not an insurance product, I think it will be a great option for many members,” Pucci added.
The Chamber is hosting a webinar on November 30 at 2:00 pm to outline its healthcare program. Representatives from Small Association Leadership Alliance and Aries Group Benefits, the Chamber’s partners in the program, will outline program details and answer any questions. More information about the program and the webinar may be found under the Join the Chamber tab at www.delawarecounty.org.
