Delaware County residents will receive a mailing from the US Census Bureau beginning mid-March to be used to provide updated and accurate population numbers. It is critical for residents to participate in the 2020 Census because population determines levels of federal and state funding, including funding for highway improvements, entitlement benefits, schools and libraries and more.
Sean Leddy, representing Delaware County Planning, with others, formed a “Count Committee” for the county, spoke with Chamber President Ray Pucci about how the Census will be conducted, what residents can expect, what type of information is collected and why it is so important.

The US Census Bureau is hiring and needs to fill approximately 200 part-time, temporary positions. To apply visit 2020census.gov/jobs.
